WWhat is PaceSetters? |
|
PaceSetters is a camp for High school students which is held annually at Focus Pointe Base Camp, in Alba, TX and is organized and led by Glowing Heart Ministries. Students who attend this camp are introduced and taught about what it means to be a servant leader. This training is done through personal Bible study, small groups, and through a variety of service projects throughout the week.

The heart of PaceSetters is helping youth understand the concept of servant leadership by examining the life of Christ and then applying that model to their own lives. By understanding and applying the concept of a servant leader, students are able to make an eternal difference in the lives of their friends, family, and community.

| WWhat is a Servant? |
|
A
servant is someone who gives his life away.
God wants to liberate us from the preoccupation
with ourselves so that we can focus on loving
other people. When we serve God by helping
others, we discover the secret of life!
"When you lose your life for my sake."
Jesus says, "You will find it"
(Matthew 10:39).

As we develop the heart of a servant, we will experience a richness
of life we never before dreamed possible.

is a Leader? |

A
leader is not necessarily someone with a
title or position. A leader is someone with
vision and influence. God wants to use you
to make a significant and eternal difference
in the lives of others. Leadership begins
with the heart. God is calling us to purity
of heart. Leaders are great, not because
of their power, but because of their ability
to empower others. They serve, they encourage,
and they inspire others to fulfill their
God-given potential.

At PaceSetters the response is, "Our lives are not our own!"(1 Cor. 6:19-20). We give ourselves wholeheartedly to advance God's Kingdom. You may be asking yourself, "Isn't this a little deep for a summer camp?" YES! BUT, we are challenged by God to move on from milk to solid food! Make plans NOW to attend PaceSetters and prepare yourself to impact your home, youth group, school,community, and world for the gospel.
